The Lodge has become active in the past couple years, after a long period of declining activity and membership. It's a hot summer night and everyone is rested and fed, thanks to the always helpful Eastern Star. Job's Daughters and DeMolay are helping with the cleanup after social hour. Also helping with refreshments are two FC's and one EA.
The DeMolay are especially excited tonight, because one of their own, Justin Myrick, celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday and he's submitted his petition, which has been signed by two PM's both of which are also GL appointees. Both PM's are in attendance tonight. The Master is looking forward to reading this petition.The young DeMolay has received Eagle Scout award from the Lodge and his writings on Masonry have been published several times.
There are several visitors, including the DDGM, DDGL as well as DFO who is presenting a program based in part on some of Justins reserch. Two visitors are being examined . In the crowd, a PM who strongly criticizes everything that GL does, tells the Secretary and several Brothers that there is movement to change the age for petitioners back to 21 and that he will definitely vote against...
